Mr. Fritz Corrigan
Director
Mr. Corrigan is the retired founding President,
CEO and a Director of the Mosaic Company and a retired Executive Vice
President of Cargill, Incorporated. From 1995-1999 he was President
of Cargill's Ag/Biosciences Group. Prior to his forty-year career at
Cargill Mr. Corrigan served in the Intelligence Branch of the U.S.
Army. He received his B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.
Mr. Bruce Ferguson
Chairman; President and Chief Executive Officer
A co-founder of Edenspace, Mr. Ferguson manages the Company as President
and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ferguson is a former Director and
Chief Operating Officer of Orbital Sciences Corporation, a space technology
company (NYSE:ORB). Before co-founding Orbital, Mr. Ferguson was an
attorney in the corporate and securities department of the Chicago
law firm of Kirkland & Ellis. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard
Business School and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1981, where
he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He received an Ed.M. from
the Harvard Graduate School of Education and an A.B. magna cum laude
in Government from Harvard College in 1976. Mr. Ferguson is a Trustee
of the Carnegie Institution of Washington and a member of the Kansas
Innovation Consortium.
Mr. Kenneth Frahm
Director
Mr. Frahm is former Co-Chairman of the Kansas Energy
Council and is on the USDA Farm Service Agency State Committee for
Kansas. From 1998-2000 he was President and CEO of the Kansas Development
Finance Authority. Mr. Frahm is a Kansas farmer whose family enterprises
produce over 500,000 bushels of grain annually. Mr. Frahm has served
on numerous corporate and university boards and state committees since
receiving his MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin
and his BA in Economics from Fort Hays (Kansas) State College.
Ms. Heather R. Sandiford
Director and Corporate Secretary
Ms. Sandiford is a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors
of the Company. She is a former Market Research Analyst at Quaker Oats
Company in Chicago, and a former Senior Research Associate at Bain & Company
and Research Associate at the Boston Consulting Group. She received
her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and her A.B. from
Harvard College.
Dr. Harrison H. Schmitt
Director
A private business and scientific
consultant, Dr. Schmitt is a member of the Company's Board of Directors.
As scientist-astronaut on the Apollo XVII mission in 1972, Dr. Schmitt
contributed significantly to scientific understanding of lunar geology.
He then served as NASA's Assistant Administrator for Energy Programs.
After leaving NASA, he served as U.S. Senator from New Mexico from
1977 to 1983. He received his B.S. degree from Caltech, and after study
in Oslo as a Fulbright Scholar received his Ph.D. in Geology from Harvard
University.
Adm. Richard Truly
Director
Admiral Truly serves as a member of the Company's Board of
Directors. He was director of the U.S. DOE's National Renewable Energy
Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado and Executive Vice President
of Midwest Research Institute from 1997-2005. Prior to leading NREL,
Adm. Truly was Vice President of the Georgia Institute of Technology
from 1992-1997. He is a member of the National Academy
of Engineering and the National Research Council's Space Studies
Board.
Dr. W. David Witherspoon, Jr.
Director
Dr. Witherspoon is the Head of the North American Renewable Fuels business for Syngenta Seeds and is a member of Syngenta's Corn and Soybean Leadership Team for the United States. Dr. Witherspoon joined Syngenta in 2004 through the acquisition of Garst Seed Company where he was the President. He received his B.S. in Biology from the Citadel, M.S. in Agronomy from Clemson University and, in 1987, his Ph.D. in Crop Science, Breeding & Genetics from North Carolina State University.
